The streets are lined with Uhaul trailers. From every apartment and townhouse front window, the lights of the football games flicker and pour out onto the sidewalk. The air carries the weight of August but the restlessness of Autumn.
I used to fear the teeth of Winter, and of change. This year I find myself waiting for the bite.

60,000 students moved into the Boston area on September 1st. My U-Haul was among theirs. I love how you capture the festivity, the blink-of-an-eye transition. You already know I love fall and it makes me optimistic. I can tell this will be a good one.
