It has only been a week, but the darkness has slipped down over us so swift and silent, as though she was waiting patiently all this time, all the long months of summer, hovering like a hawk in the sky, and before we could blink we were under the blanket of her dusky feathers.
I have to remind myself that this is the time of year when we plant the daffodils.
time to snuggle in warm blankets of feathers to weather the pending chilly nights of winters darkness! My.... this blog did inspire me (:

Oh but it's a fuzzy blanket. And next to it, on the coffee table, we have hot chocolate and apple cider and - you guessed it - chai. And there are sweet songs of winter and fuzzy socks and daffodils. We'll all make it through this winter together.

These shorter posts you've been writing recently are so incredibly powerful. They make me feel the way I feel when I read Japanese poetry--everything spare, everything intensified, and so polished. I just love them to distraction.
And when the daffodils come, we will not let them pass us by.

@Kim--Thanks so much! That means a lot, because I wasn't really sure about these short posts. But that is what my brain is craving lately.
