Wholly Strange and New by Bridget Pilloud
When good is near you, when you have life in yourself, it is not by any known or accustomed way; you shall not discern the foot-prints of any other; you shall not see the face of man; you shall not hear any name;—— the way, the thought, the good, shall be wholly strange and new. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Can you remember a moment in your life when you had life in yourself and it was wholly strange and new? Can you remember the moment when you stopped walking a path of someone else, and started cutting your own?
Write about that moment. And if you haven’t experienced it yet, let the miracle play out in your mind’s eye and write about that moment in your future.

Ha! That moment is right now. I have been wondering about this. About how I can feel one part of myself die—it withers and shrivels and falls away to the ground—even as a new slender shoots twist out and upwards.
I know it mostly because the tenor of my dreams has changed. They speak to me in a language I don’t know yet. They are foreign and exciting, like a kiss with a stranger.

This is a beautiful image... thank you so much for posting this.

The kiss from a stranger image is so tender, exciting and beautiful - just like the life that's opening up in front of you.

That's the exciting part that I think we all too often forget about when we sink into the comfortable familiarity of things. Now it is time to ride the wave and see what comes up and I know amazing things will for you! Beautiful post.

Oh my goodness. I am looking forward to you learning more of this new language, especially if it comes with exciting kisses :)
