Homecoming. In the sense of nighttime football games and high school dances and first corsages. But also in the sense of returning, of settling in under blankets and lighting candles and watching the full moon outside. In the sense of coming back at the end of a long growing season, after the delicious adventures of stretching your petals and reaching up towards the sun. In the sense of bringing back your harvest and finding ways to let it fill and nourish you as the twilight settles in, as sleep and rest begin to settle in.
What did you grow this season?
What are you bringing home with you?
Hi sweetie!
Let's see... I grew my marriage this season what with all the trials and tribulations of moving and moving and moving...
And I am bringing home... a sincere and heartfelt wish for a home of our very own!
:)

Noel, your questions could not be more timely, or more insightful. What I grew this season: a desire for a home, a forward-looking mindset. What I'm bringing home: a little bit of self-kindness. Hopefully.
What about you?
[Also, the images of the candles and blankets and full moon and balconies are making me swoon.]

What I grew this season....the seed of patience. With each blossom the pedels unfolded allowing me to live one day at a time. allowing me to enjoy the mother moon, the approaching chilly evenings of fall, and yes the luscious covers to snuggle under that you write about. I grew I quess a little more inner peace.

@Babs--That's awesome! Not sure where you guys are now ... but I need to find out! Does that mean you're looking to buy a place??
@Roxanne--You are such an amazing person; I hope you bring LOTS of self-kindness home this season!
@Dragonfly--I love that, the mother moon. Indeed.

I'm only just starting! I was hibernating all Summer. I've just now awakened and am now free to grow. :)

It's six in the morning (insomnia!) and my downer side wants to say that I grew nothing, that my roses failed once again and that I failed my roses. But the truth is I grew some patience and some tolerance, and a little bit of spine, just enough.
