What new thing will you try this month?
July was one hot oven of day lilies and blistering sun and sadness. I baked in it. I watched as it whizzed by in a blur past the window on the stove I crawled inside.
In August I will try to be here. In August I will try not to rush through the turbulence in my life, like I did when I was 19 and 21. I will try not to rush through the rogue waves to get to the relief, to get to the still waters, because when I look back at the best times they were when I was 19 and 21.
this is so real and intense and truthful. just beautiful.

I believe in you, and I believe in this plan. There's still plenty of August left for you to be here for.
So much love.

I believe in you, too.

I did the same thing as I tend to do with Summer because - well Summer is not my favorite time. But then I look back and think, why am I wishing my life away! I just want five or six wonderful months of Autumn - crazy crispy, cool sunny autumn days.
I hear you. I believe in you as well and btw, we are planning on coming to Chicago in October (hoping). I'll keep you posted! We'll probably be down for the weekend at our friend's. So excited as we always have a blast down there! Hugs, my friend. Hugs.

@Dragonfly, @Kim and @Mary--Thank you!
@Tracy--Keep me posted! I would love to see you! For the record, I saw some leaves changing on my drive through Michigan/Indiana today ... looks like Autumn is just around the corner!
