Nope, I'm still not quiet. Today I'm over at the amazing blog, Speak Softly and Carry a Red Pen, talking about what I learned during reverb10. And what I learned was a big surprise--I had thought reverb10 was going to be a New Year's resolution-type journey, the kind that makes you feel all pretty and polished and shiny.
Reverb10 didn't polish me; it cracked me open. The image that comes to mind is of those nature shows where the bald eagle soars so very very high up into the sky, so it can drop tasty crustaceans on the rocks below and see what's inside.
That's a good thing though, because I chose it to be this way. And what I'm finding inside is both more beautiful and more terrifying than I ever imagined.
Anyways, you can check it out here.
What a great post about Reverb10. I couldn't agree more. And I am so glad that we "met" during that process, Noël.

Thanks Shannon and Dragonfly! Shannon--I'm glad we met there too, and I'm finding myself looking forward to this year's event (although I don't necessarily want the year to fly by on fast forward)!

Off to read this one now. I've somehow lost the "post" button below the comments on the previous post :O because I break things, but know this: I read that one when you first tweeted it, and I was so pleased to see your professional voice and to see the echoes of your personal one in it. Well done, sister.

@Kim--Thanks so much!! I never know how to balance these two--what I write here and what I write elsewhere on the web. they are so different ... and mabye that's ok. Glad to see that, for you, a similar tone runs through each.
