What's all this business about French Christmas?

  • My name—Noël—has been mispronounced, mislabeled, and mistaken since my parents bestowed it upon me one snowy March afternoon. It wasn't until a friend nicknamed me "French Christmas" that it came into focus. How much would our lives change if we could just see things differently?

And there are so many reasons that I am super super glad I added you to my Google Reader feed; like a good meal, I wait to have the great parts last, and I just saved the posts of yours that were marked as "new" on my list until I had read everything else, and then, one by one, as I read through them, marked them all with a star. Thank you for being you. (And I'm glad that I am not the only one who will be brining Reverb10 into the new year.)

Many hugs,

@Stephanie/@DancingWaves -- I was feeling a little gloomy this morning, what with having to head back to the grind after this lovely holiday season. Thank you so much for this comment -- it warmed my heart and gave me the inspiration to get after it today! Happy New year to you -- can't wait to read more of your writing in 2011! :)

Yaaay! :-) It's hard getting back to it ... I'm finding myself easily distracted today.

(And can I say how adorable that honey bear is in the last picture? I missed it the first time I saw it, but it was just within the frame when I pulled the page up this time.)

Abby

May I please be superimposed into this picture of sweet hominess?!

Noel

@Stephanie/DancingWaves, Ditto! And glad you like the honeybear. For me it's the little things -- like having a honeybear to sweeten Sunday morning tea -- that make tough winter days bearable.

Noel

@Abby, YES! I think I can grab your Twitter Avatar and put you over on the couch. I'll make you some tea too! :)

Abby

Thank you! Just what I need today. :)

This is the same method I use for ordinary joy, too. I love knowing that it's replicated all over the world and that it makes people feel the same way.
